ABOUT
TOMMY HERSTICH
Tommy Herstich, founder of Herstich Media, is a passionate photographer dedicated to capturing life’s most exciting and meaningful moments. His love for photography started early, roaming around his hometown of Bethlehem, PA with a pocket-sized Kodak camera and a curiosity for storytelling through images.
After graduating high school, Tommy pursued his passion at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania, majoring in Digital Media Technologies to sharpen his creative and technical skills.
Tommy’s career in sports photography took off when he joined ESU’s Athletics Department as a student photographer. Since then, he’s had the opportunity to capture some of the most unforgettable moments in Division II athletics, bringing energy, emotion, and precision to every frame.
Today, Tommy is a senior at ESU, continuing to refine his craft while photographing top-tier Division II athletes. During his senior year, he has expanded his experience by interning with Lehigh University Athletics, a Division I program, where he contributes to both sports photography and video coverage. This opportunity has allowed him to operate in a fast-paced, high-level collegiate environment, further elevating his ability to deliver dynamic, high-impact visual content.
Some of Tommy’s most notable work includes capturing Lehigh Men’s Basketball competing in the 2026 NCAA March Madness tournament against Prairie View A&M at the University of Dayton Arena in Dayton, Ohio. He also documented ESU Baseball’s 2025 Division II Atlantic Super Regional Championship victory over Seton Hill, sending the team to the NCAA Division II College Baseball World Series. In addition, Tommy photographed ESU Volleyball’s 2025 PSAC Championship win against Gannon, preserving another historic moment in the program’s success.
